Grupo Bimbo plans to cut out artificial coloring by end of 2026

Grupo Bimbo

The largest bakery company worldwide says it will eliminate artificial coloring from its products.

Mexican baked goods giant Grupo Bimbo says by the end of 2026, none of its products will have artificial coloring.

Grupo Bimbo produces Mexican products like Bimbo bread and packaged sugary snacks, which are also widely available in the United States. The company also owns formerly American bakery brands, including Entenmann's and Sara Lee.

Grupo Bimbo says it aims for all its snack and baked good products to use simple and natural recipes by 2030.

In the U.S., Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has taken aim at additives in food, like artificial coloring and sweeteners.
