Sedona’s mayor announced Tuesday he is resigning.
Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow informed city officials Tuesday that he would resign at the end of the day. Jablow had been on the defensive against the City Council for weeks.
In early September, the council voted to censure him. He declined to give details about the censure but accused City Council members of trying to “silence” him.
Throughout the summer, Jablow had also sparred with the chief of police, who accused him of undermining and harassing her.
Officials said Vice Mayor Holli Ploog will serve as acting mayor, and then the Council will appoint one of their own to serve as interim mayor until the end of Jablow’s term in November 2026.
