A northern Arizona fire department has suffered the loss of a third firefighter in a vehicle accident in the last three weeks.
The most recent firefighter who died worked for the Timber Mesa Fire District near Show Low. His death was announced on the district’s Facebook page.
The notice says the firefighter was killed on his way to work Friday morning while riding his motorcycle. His name was not released by midafternoon Friday.
Firefighters Brenna Kulikowski and Damon Thompson were killed Sept. 14. They were returning to Show Low when their ambulance was struck head-on by a car that crossed the center line. Their memorial services were held last weekend.
