Pima County authorities are urging caution ahead of a heavy rainfall forecast for southeastern Arizona.

Pima County announced the cancellation of the Arizona Fall League's triple header this weekend due to heavy rainfall predicted from Tropical storm Priscilla, which began off the coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.

A flood warning has been issued for a large swath of Arizona. Pima County Sheriff’s Department says several inches of rain could hit the county. Residents are advised exercise extreme caution and avoid hiking in washes, canyons and creek beds that could become flooded. Residents in areas where homes could see flooding can pick up sandbags on Friday at several county locations.
