Residents in Globe can drink the water again after two water main breaks were repaired this week.
Catastrophic flooding from multiple storms have hit the town. Globe officials have lifted an order to boil all water intended for drinking, cleaning and hygiene after recent storms damaged water mains.
Globe Mayor Al Gameros says they are working on getting state and federal emergency funds for ongoing recovery efforts.
"The word needs to get out there and it needs to stay constant because we still need the help, we’re still recovering, and we’ll be like that for, it’ll be a while," Gameros said.
Gameros says donations can be sent to help recovery at the United Fund of Globe Miami.
