Mexico unveiled a plan to build what they say will become the most powerful supercomputer in Latin America.

Mexico intends to build what it says will be the most powerful supercomputer in Latin America.

The Mexican government says the planned supercomputer will be more than 100 times more powerful than the country’s current most powerful supercomputer, which is located in Sonora.

The new planned supercomputer will be called Coatlicue for the Mexica deity considered the mother of gods, the sun and the stars.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum says the more than $300 million public investment will help Mexico fully embrace artificial intelligence.

“It’s going to help us a lot, not only with scientific and technological development, but also essentially with the development of our country,” Sheinbaum said.

Sheinbaum says construction will begin next year and the project will take two years to complete.
