Pima County Sheriff’s Department obtained these security photos after a gunman opened fire at a Goodwill Donation Center near Irvington and Palo Verde roads in Tucson on Dec. 26, 2025.

One of the victims of last week’s shooting at an Arizona Goodwill Donation Center has died.

A gunman opened fire at a Goodwill location in Tucson the day after Christmas, seriously wounding two employees.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said one of them, 30-year-old Juan Cristobal Flores, succumbed to his injuries on Jan. 1.

That means the investigation is now being treated as a homicide. A female victim is still in the hospital, but the Sheriff’s Department said she’s no longer in critical condition.

Earlier this week, police arrested 40-year-old Adrian William Orozco in connection with the shooting.

A motive has not yet been revealed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
