Arizona Snowbowl reopened for two bonus days after recent snowfall.
Arizona Snowbowl closed for the season on Sunday after a relatively dry winter, but 6 inches of snowfall in 24 hours has the resort reopening for two bonus days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The announcement was made in a social media post on Sunday.
“Of course we can't call it quits when we know we got fresh snowfall in the forecast,” a spokesperson for the resort said in the video. “So come join us this Tuesday and Wednesday and get your final turns in the season. And this time, we mean it.”
Only one ski lift will be running at the resort from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
March is typically the best month for snowfall at the resort, said Angie Grubb, the marketing manager for Arizona Snowbowl. Last March, Snowbowl got over 100 inches of snow. But in March 2026, the Flagstaff ski resort only got 2 inches.
In previous years, Snowbowl was open as late as Memorial Day weekend.
But warm temperatures and a lack of snowfall forced the resort to close early, Grubb said. She said this is not the earliest closing, but on an earlier day than recent years, especially since they started snow-making.
“Prior to snowmaking, there was years where Snowbowl operated for three or four days after a good storm, and that was really it for the season,” Grubb said. “And so to be open 134 days in the southwest at Arizona Snowbowl, it's a huge accomplishment after a season like this.”
