Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson will move to Oro Valley, end theater program

The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind will relocate to Oro Valley, along with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired and blind.

Due to falling enrollment and declining birthrates, the school’s Superintendent Annette Reichman announced the relocation to Copper Creek Elementary in Oro Valley.

More afterschool programs, including the music and theater program, will be discontinued due to the relocation. Over 70 staff position will also be eliminated.
