A missing Apache Junction teen was found in the Globe-Miami area after being picked up by an unknown man. The 13-year-old was seen entering the man’s vehicle and leaving Apache Junction on June 19.
Apache Junction police Cmdr. Michael Beaton said with help from the public, the man is in custody.
“And those leads led us out of the city up to Globe-Miami area, and then we were able to locate the male from that bulletin,” Beaton said.
Beaton attributed the success of the search to the Turquoise Alert, a statewide alert system created after the disappearance of Emily Pike, a San Carlos Apache teen.
