The WNBA has grown in viewership, as the 2024 season opened with the highest attendance in almost 30 years and the most watched games on national television, according to the league.
The head of the WNBA Players Union stated this week that she is concerned the league is being undervalued in the NBA’s recent media rights deals, which will deliver $2.2 billion to the WNBA over 11 years.
