The Arizona Department of Transportation is moving forward with the next phase of its study for the Sonoran Corridor, also known as State Route 410.

This proposed freeway in Pima County aims to connect Interstate 19 and Interstate 10, south of Tucson International Airport.

In the previous phase, ADOT selected a 2,000-foot corridor route based on factors like land use, freight movement and cultural concerns.

The next part of the study will build on these findings, with a focus on the engineering and environmental aspects of different design alternatives for the corridor.

ADOT is also seeking community input to find potential interchange locations or any suggested changes in the area.

The survey is open until Sept. 1.
