An Arizona man is facing several felony and misdemeanor charges for his actions during the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.
Forty-three-year-old Jason Tasker of Glendale is accused of assaulting law enforcement with a deadly weapon, among other crimes.
Tasker was arrested earlier this week in an Arizona prison, where he was serving an almost eight-year prison sentence for aggravated assault stemming from a drunken car crash in Maricopa County.
The crash occurred months after federal court records say Tasker attended the 2021 "Stop the Steal" rally.
He’s accused of removing barricades, confronting police officers, and bragging on a phone call about being one of the first inside during the breach.
