Vice President Kamala Harris is heading to Arizona this Friday on the heels of vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance’s visit to Glendale last week.
Harris tapped Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday to be her running mate. The pair is making appearances in several states this week, including Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada.
In the run up to the visit, several KJZZ listeners have asked: Where is the campaign event in the Valley, and is it open to the public?
The rally will be held Friday evening at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale and is invitation only.
The Arizona Democratic Party started sending out non-transferrable invitations by email on Thursday afternoon. Only those who RSVP'd to the event and bring ID matching the invitation will be allowed in the arena because of security concerns, the email said.
Attendees are being asked to arrive no later than 3:30 p.m., although the official start time of the rally has not been announced.
It is not clear how people got on the invite list or what the capacity is for the event. Registration is now closed.
