Phoenix says staff have identified many of the incidents referenced in a scathing report of the city’s police by the U.S. Justice Department.

The city has published a trove of internal police information online.

Now published online are body-camera videos and internal documents connected to the events cited by the feds after a nearly three-year investigation of Phoenix and its police department.

The feds found sweeping civil rights violations, including that Phoenix police are excessively violent.

In a prepared statement, the interim police chief said the online materials are crucial for understanding what incidents the feds cite in their report.

Officials also say city staff is actively analyzing reform recommendations made by the feds to compare them with reforms already launched, and develop more ways to improve.
