Global technology company Comtech recently moved its corporate headquarters from New York to Chandler. A ribbon cutting ceremony attended by government and Comtech officials recognized the move.
The technology and services provided by Comtech serves both the government and commercial customers. According to the company, being situated in Chandler brings new offerings like new connectivity services.
Gov. Katie Hobbs says Comtech fits into the state’s “technology ecosystem.”
“The future is going to happen right here in Arizona, with engineering and manufacturing spaces enhancing already strong operations in the state and accelerating the delivery of new technologies. Today is the next natural step in our partnership,” she said.
Hobbs says a collaboration with Comtech has allowed for developing the state’s 911 system, giving first responders the opportunity to better provide emergency services.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke lauded the company’s presence in the city.
“This area is home to many of the best and brightest people who make up Arizona's tech-savvy and devoted workforce. We're honored to see Comtech add its name to the impressive list of cutting-edge companies that call Chandler home,” he said.
Hartke also says the work coming from Comtech's new headquarters keeps communities safe and brings a new era of trusted connectivity.
