Learn more about the candidates in the 2024 Arizona Legislative District 16 Senate race: Republican T.J. Shope and Democrat Stacey Seaman.
LD16 covers an area that was considered a GOP stronghold, but it is now technically a swing district as more Democrats and independents move in to district, which covers parts of Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties. However, incumbent Republican Shope won re-election by a wide margin in 2022, defying those voter registration trends.
