Gas prices in Arizona are down about 2 cents on average from a week ago as the Labor Day travel weekend arrives.

The statewide average is about $3.45 a gallon, with the cheapest gas in Pima County, and the most expensive in Coconino County.

Julian Parades is a spokesperson for AAA.

"Honestly, prices weren’t too bad for the whole season. Arizona state average for gas is more than 80-cents cheaper compared to this time last year," he said.

Parades said gas prices also tend to drop going into the fall and winter.
