A grand jury has indicted a man accused in the shooting death of a Phoenix police officer.
Forty-one-year-old Saul Bal faces five felony charges, including first-degree murder and burglary.
Phoenix police were responding to a call about a car break-in earlier this month when they confronted Bal. Authorities say he fled and opened fire, killing officer Zane Coolidge and wounding another.
A trial date has not been set yet.
