Watch a discussion with Republican Kelly Cooper, candidate for Arizona's 4th Congressional District

Incumbent Greg Stanton, a Democrat; Republican Kelly Cooper; and Vincent Beck-Jones from the Green Party are seeking the seat in Arizona's 4th Congressional District. Watch a one-on-one discussion with Cooper on 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30.

On Sept. 30, the Arizona Clean Elections Commission held a one-on-one session with Republican U.S. House candidate Kelly Cooper.

Stanton declined to debate Cooper, resulting in a 30-minute interview. Green Party candidates are not invited to federal debates because its voters take up less than 1% of the total electorate. For more: https://www.azcleanelections.gov/debate-information

Cooper focused his messaging on inflation and border security.

"I believe around the world most people are good and I believe that we should do everything that we can to try to make America the place that people envy, the place that people want to come to. But it has to be done by legal means with law and order and with our citizens in mind," said Cooper.

Cooper said he would not go along with Republican members of Congress if they pushed a federal abortion ban, as long as the majority of his district opposed such laws.
