The St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix expects to distribute a record number of turkeys for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

The food bank’s Jerry Brown says there are fewer donors, but more need than ever before.

“This has been a year that inflation is a nuisance to you or something that’s ‘upset but doable,’” said Brow, “if you have the opportunity to help folks that inflation is impacting a lot more and make that donation, it would be fantastic.”

Brown said that as of Friday, they were still around 9,000 turkeys away from their goal of 23,000.
