State Route 67 to Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim is scheduled to close for the season on Monday, Dec. 2, unless snowfall warrants closing the highway earlier.
The Arizona Department of Transportation closes State Route 67 each winter. The 43-mile highway travels through an area that often receives more than nine feet of snow in a season.
The U.S. 89A will remain open at the junction with State Route 67 in Jacob Lake. The state highway will reopen along with North Rim facilities in mid-May.
