The lineup for the 2025 Tucson Festival of Books has been announced. There are more than 300 authors attending, including some names usually associated with TV and movies.

Festival Executive Director Abra McAndrew says actors Edward Burns and Tim Matheson will be among the 300 authors attending the festival. Another well-known name?

"Lou Diamond Phillips will be attending. He's got a graphic novel that he's written," Matheson said.

And from the newspaper and magazine world, "We also have Guy Trebay. Maureen Dowd is well-known and she'll be attending as well," McAndrew said.

Both write for the New York Times. This is the nation's second-largest literary festival. It will be held March 15 and 16 on the University of Arizona campus.

"This festival has been in operation since 2009. We're a nonprofit organization that exists to put on this great community event and also raise funds for literacy efforts in southern Arizona," McAndrew said.

The festival is expected to draw more than 100,000 people.
