On Saturday morning, two commercial planes preparing to land at Sky Harbor Airport nearly collided.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident, but both crafts did land safely.

The planes were a United Airlines flight from San Francisco and a Delta Airlines flight from Detroit. Both crews received an onboard alert that another aircraft was nearby.

According to the FAA, air traffic control then “issued corrective instructions.”
