Tempe announced it will soon begin a construction project on University Drive between Mill Avenue and Rural Road.
This will cause traffic restrictions starting Tuesday. University Drive will be reduced to one lane in both directions for that portion starting Tuesday and lasting into mid-August. Merging will begin at Rural Road for westbound traffic and Mill Avenue for eastbound traffic.
A city spokesperson said the timeline is dependent on soil conditions.
