February is off to an unseasonably warm start in Phoenix. As of Tuesday, the city has now had three days in a row of record-breaking heat.

High temperatures in Phoenix are typically around 69 degrees in early February. But temperatures climbed to 82 degrees on Sunday, and 86 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, breaking records.

The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures will drop to the low 80s or high 70s for the remainder of the week. Those temperatures won’t break records, but they will still be above-normal for this time of year.

These early heat records for 2025 come after dozens were broken last year. 2024 was Phoenix’s hottest year on record.
