Last year, Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a lawsuit against Heritage Village assisted living in Mesa. Now that facility, which Mayes described as “perhaps the most notorious assisted living facility in Arizona,” is being sold.

According to a spokesperson, a court approved the sale. It went on to say that Mayes is focused on making sure the residents of Heritage Village receive the appropriate care they deserve and that this sale will ensure that.

The Attorney General's Office issued this full statement:

"Attorney General Mayes is grateful to the court for approving the sale of Heritage Village and remains focused on ensuring continuity of care for the residents. The Attorney General has always been to focused on making sure that the residents of this community receive the appropriate care they are deserve — and this will help ensure that goal."
