The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety continued its efforts to prevent impaired driving as people celebrated the WM Phoenix Open and Super Bowl Sunday.
While officers are trained for impaired driving, they look for traffic offenses. In doing so, officers seek to save lives.
That’s all according to Jesse Torrez, who is with the office.
“We have an East Valley task force and they will be working the area around the Waste Management Open going into Super Bowl Sunday,” he said.
Torrez recommends people take the necessary precautions, such as planning a designated driver or using a ride-hailing service.
