Light rail service at several stations in downtown Phoenix will be paused on Saturday and Sunday due to testing for the Downtown Hub extension, Valley Metro said.
Residents can take shuttle buses from transfer points at the 44th St. and Washington station and the Roosevelt and Central Avenue station, but should expect delays.
If a rider is going eastbound, they must exit the light rail train at the Roosevelt and Central Avenue station and board buses with the signage “RAIL Shuttle East.” They can then exit these buses at 44th St. and Washington for eastbound trains.

The buses will serve stations every 15 minutes on Saturday and every 20 minutes on Sunday.
The trains will operate during testing, but they will only pick up riders after the Phoenix Suns game on Sunday.
The 5-mile extension will connect the light rail system south of downtown Phoenix operating along Central Avenue to Baseline Road.
The project will include a new transit hub in downtown Phoenix and new stations decorated with public art.
