Weather in metro Phoenix this week will start off warm, but many on spring break should prepare for possible rain with two separate storm systems expected to move into the Valley.

The forecast shows rain and breezy conditions may show up throughout the week as a result of the systems moving in. The first system will affect temperature.

Ted Whittock is with the National Weather Service based in Phoenix.

“This’ll also drop our temperatures back into the upper 60s to lower 70s as we head into the middle of the week," he said.

A second system for late Thursday brings what he says will be “widespread precipitation chances” in the area.
