After Sunday’s victory won them an automatic bid to the tourney, head coach Molly Miller told her team: "You were good enough through the highs and lows of adversity. You were good enough when the media tried to pressure you (giggle). You were good enough when things weren’t going your way, and today you’re good enough to win a conference championship."
The GCU women, a 13th seed, travels to Waco, Texas, to face 4th seed Baylor on Friday.
Meanwhile, the GCU men also won the conference title for a third straight year and got an automatic bid to the men’s NCAA tournament. Also a 13th seed, they’ll play Friday as well in a first round game against Maryland.
