The temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport hit 100 degrees on Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport has reached 100° so far this afternoon. This is the first 100° day for Phoenix this year. This also ties the record high for the date, however there is still time for us to break the record. Stay tuned to see if we break it. #azwx pic.twitter.com/KMBDJCmVv4

That marks the first time in 2025 that the Valley has hit triple digits. It’s an early start to the higher temperatures. On average, Phoenix generally does not hit 100 degrees until early May.
The earliest it’s ever hit 100 degrees in Phoenix was March 26 back in 1988.
"It is very likely at Sky Harbor, 100 degrees will occur again on Friday and possible again on Saturday. And these would also be records for the date," said Mark O’Malley with the NWS in Phoenix.
The NWS said in a post on X that record-breaking high temperatures are also expected Friday and beyond in Tucson.
🥵🌡️Near to record breaking temperatures are forecasted for today, Friday & Saturday, with Tucson forecasted to reach triple digits on Friday. Stay hydrated, never leave kids or pets in vehicles, take frequent indoor breaks in air conditioning, & limit outdoor activity! #azwx pic.twitter.com/E9WsEIAjjJ
