It’s snowing in the Flagstaff area, at least only a little bit.
Precipitation has been falling since Friday morning and is expected through Saturday.
Jacob Lewandowski is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Flagstaff. He says this weather is not exactly unusual for April, but it’s helpful.
“You know, any upcoming fire season it’ll help to delay fire risk by keeping things a little bit more wet, keeping the trees a little more wet, keeping the soils more moist," Lewandowski said.
He says to expect 1 to 2 inches of snow, but the ground is warm. Rain showers are also expected.
