While 100 degree temperatures have already arrived in the Valley, the ski season continues in the northern part of the state.
Arizona Snowbowl announced Friday that it’s extending its season by an additional weekend, to May 5.
The Flagstaff-area ski resort said the extension was made possible, in part, by early-season snowmaking efforts. But Snowbowl also credited heavy snowfall in March and a storm that was expected to bring 8 inches of fresh snow this weekend.
