Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps has appointed Interim Police Chief Colby Brandt to officially lead the city’s police department. He succeeds former Chief Chris Briggs who retired at the end of February.
Brandt has worked as assistant chief, and the city says he has served multiple leadership positions in his 28 years with the department.
That includes Administrative Services Commander, overseeing training, personnel, grants and research. He also led the department’s patrol unit.
