The grand opening of an integrated health center and a community health fair are scheduled for this week in west Phoenix.
The new health center scheduled to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in Maryvale on Friday is the seventh opened by the nonprofit Valle del Sol.
The center will offer primary and pediatric care, behavioral health services, a federal aid program for moms and their children, plus a pharmacy.
Separately, a community health fair is scheduled to be held on Wednesday at the Sevilla Elementary campus of the Alhambra School District.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona is helping organize the event offering vaccinations, kids dental and vision screenings and other resources.
