Scottsdale police say two men are spending thousands of dollars on credit cards that they stole from gym lockers.
The thefts began in late July. Police Sgt. Allison Sempsis said they received 10 reports of theft from July 25 to Aug. 1.
“After the suspects commit the locker room burglaries, they’ve been observed on our video surveillance going into different businesses and using the stolen credit cards and they’re racking up thousands of dollars in fraudulent credit card purchases,” she said.
Sempsis said the majority of the thefts have been reported in Scottsdale.
She said the men do not have memberships and are most likely entering the gyms when employees are helping other customers.
