After hitting triple-digit temperatures early this week, the Valley is expected to cool down as the week progresses.
Meteorologist Isaac Smith is with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. He says thunderstorms are possible.
“So we’re going to be looking at chances sticking around 10% throughout the first part of the week but then as we head into the ladder half of the week, particularly around the Thursday and Friday time frame, that’s when we’re looking at our best chances," Smith said.
Poor air quality is also forecast early this week. Ozone high pollution advisories are in effect through Tuesday.
