In the coming week, expect warm and dry weather across Arizona.
High pressure is settling in and creating temperatures around 10 to 15 degrees above the normal average, according to Mark O’Malley with the National Weather Service.
This is a seasonal weather pattern and isn’t predicted to break any high-temperature records.
"A large high pressure system just settled right over Arizona and the Southwest and it’s really not budging," O’Malley said. "And we don’t see it moving for the next seven to 10 days."
O’Malley does warn that stagnant air could result in some pollution concerns, and subsequent calls by local authorities for no-burn days.
