Luke Air Force Base near Glendale spent about an hour on lockdown Friday morning due to a report of an active shooter.
An active shooter was reported in a building on base that is also home to a testing center for Rio Salado College.
Glendale police said they found no signs of a shooter or that any shots were fired. College officials say the report was false.
The lockdown started at about 10:30 a.m. and was over before 11:30 a.m.
Luke Air Force Base is home to F-35 fighter jets.
The wing commander said in a prepared statement that any report of a potential threat is taken seriously and the security response worked exactly as intended.
