Hurricane-force winds hit a large swath of northern Arizona on Wednesday, stretching from Flagstaff to Pinedale, near Show Low.

Meteorologist Jake Lewandowski said 60 to 80 mph gusts have left damaged infrastructure in their wake.

“The gates arms that will go down to block people from the train did get damaged from the winds. Trees knocking down powerlines, leading to power outages. It’s a pretty insane," Lewandowski said.

Lewandowski expects calm weather will be short-lived after the storm dies down, as snow and gusty winds are expected to move in Friday.
