Four more horses have been found shot to death in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
Earlier this year, nine wild horses were found dead with evidence of bullet wounds in the Black Mesa Ranger District. Now the Forest Service says four additional horses have been found dead in the same area, also with bullet wounds.
Officials are considering the two incidents related, and both are under investigation by the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for the latest shootings.
