Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is facing a DUI charge after being arrested Friday morning in Scottsdale.
Officers stopped Brooks’ car at about 1 a.m. Friday. He was booked into Scottsdale City jail on suspicion of DUI and released around 3:30 a.m.
A representative from the Suns says the team is aware of the situation and gathering more information.
The arrest comes a few hours following the Suns’ 105-103 loss to the Chicago Bulls at Thursday night's game at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
A fractured left hand has kept Brooks from playing for the team since Feb. 21.
Before the injury, Brooks was having the best season of his NBA career and averaging roughly 21 points per game. He is expected to be out at least until late March after having surgery.
TMZ first reported news of the arrest.
