The Phoenix City Council has approved a $200,000 lawsuit settlement stemming from a 2023 vehicle accident involving a police officer.
Court records accuse the officer of making a negligent left turn in front of a motorist in the intersection of 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
The motorist reportedly suffered injuries in the crash, some of which were potentially permanent.
