The Phoenix Zoo was evacuated Friday due to a bomb threat received at about noon.
A spokesperson says it's among several zoos around the country that also received bomb threats on Friday.
The zoo will remain closed for the rest of the day.
Phoenix police say they searched the area but found no bombs. Police officials said they suspect the incident may have been a call aimed at drawing a SWAT team response.
