If you’re looking to take the freeway in the Valley this weekend, you may want to check what routes to drive on beforehand. ADOT says closures or lane restrictions are taking place on several freeways now until Monday.
Closures and restrictions are designated for parts of northbound State Route 51, westbound Loop 202, southbound Loop 101 and U.S. 60. These constraints are caused by freeway improvement projects like surface asphalt removal and adding more lanes.
More information on the closures and restrictions can be found on ADOT’s website.
People can also learn about real-time highway conditions by calling 511 or visiting the Arizona Traveler Information website.
