The Phoenix Public Library is offering special edition "Wallace and Ladmo Show" library cards.

The Phoenix Public Library has issued a new special edition library card in honor of "The Wallace & Ladmo Show," a local television program that aired in Phoenix for over 35 years.

The card comes from a collaboration between the library system and the Wallace and Ladmo Foundation.

The card itself features the characters of the show, which ran on KPHO starting in the 1950s until 1989.

The city says the card recognizes the show’s legacy and reflects the Phoenix Public Library’s dedication to history and the community. Last year, the city renamed part of First Avenue “Wallace and Ladmo Way” in honor of the show.

The card is available at all Phoenix Public Library locations. Those who sign up for a library card now until May 31 enter a drawing to receive a Ladmo bag, a paper sack containing prizes that was a fixture on the original program.
