Construction will begin on a freeway interchange project connecting Loop 101 and Interstate 10 in Phoenix. That means closures from Friday until Monday morning for those looking to hit the road in the West Valley.
During this period, the southbound Loop 101 between Indian School Road and I-10 is closed. Restrictions also apply to the southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Cardinals Way and Camelback Road.
According to ADOT, the project includes development of an elevated bridge for HOV lanes to connect between the freeways as well as ramp and traffic flow enhancements.
The project is expected to take three years to complete and costs $192 million.
