School is out for summer, it’s getting hot out there and for many families, it’s already pool time. But it’s important to be responsible around water — and a pool fence is one way to keep kids safe.
"Pool fences are one of the most effective ways for those accidental drownings," said Caitlin Sageng, the organization’s vice president. "So whether it's, again, the pool fence, locks on your back doors, don't forget about doggy doors, anything that can, you know, slow a child down from getting to the water."
Sageng says to qualify, you must be a homeowner in the Phoenix metro area with children in the home under the age of 6.
