The Valley is in for more brutal heat Thursday with highs ranging between 112 and 115.
Gabriel Lojero is with the National Weather Service. He says the good news is the high pressure system that’s causing these temperatures is on the verge of moving out.
"And then as we head into the weekend, and especially next week, it looks like we’re going to see a more significant increase in moisture," Lojero said.
That moisture may not bring a lot of rain but it will lower temperatures to the region’s normal highs this time of year, which is around 107.
